Central Plains Cancer Care Services is on the hunt for a new executive director. Judy Sauder's tendered her resignation, as she pursues opportunities in Ontario. Board Chair Colin Wilcox says she's going to be greatly missed, noting her professionalism and charisma made her a great leader for the organization.

"She was a great asset to the office, and we enjoyed working with her as a board. The knowledge that she brought, her knowledge, her professionalism, work ethics and charisma with volunteers and the programs that she work on. The feedback that I received was always very positive."

Wilcox says the board has already put their selection committee in place, the same committee that was used to hire Sauder. However, he anticipates they're going to have an easy transition, as Sauder will remain in her role until the fall, to help with the process.

"The ladies in the selection committee pretty well know what kind of criteria they're looking for in an applicant. What will help us even further is to have Judy also on the committee, and knowing exactly the type of person you need to fill those shoes to work with the public, cancer patients, and the loved ones of cancer patients."

He says their goal is to have someone on the line prior to Sauder's departure, to ensure a seamless transition for the organization.
