St Paul's Church on highway 26 is having it's 3rd annual fundraiser service this Sunday.

The church was built circa 1910 and nowadays only has a service once a year. Warden of St Anne's church, Monica Griffiths, explains the funds raised each year go toward the maintenance of St Paul's.

"Painting is always an issue. I know we're doing work on window repair as well, that's on the bill. The lower level walls got painted already and then now we're looking at the steeple. Waaaay up there needs to be painted. So we're kind of hoping this year's fundraising will help to get that little bit of a miracle to happen."

She adds a picnic will be provided after the mass.

"The church provides quite a nice picnic. We put up the tables inside the church and folks are welcome to just be where they are, sit in the pews, we bring chairs outside. And we've been blessed both times with the most beautiful of a day."

Right Reverend Rick Condo will once again be leading this year's full communion mass.
