The white stuff's finally arrived to stay in Portage la Prairie, and members of Club Snow are happy for it. President Tony McIvor says they took advantage of the snowless weather.

Tony McIvor"We've sure been waiting for it for quite a while. We've sure been busy, though, getting our trails prepared. So, it was kind of nice having no snow for that. Now we're ready to do some riding. Glad to see it coming here. We've been busy signing. We look after over 400 km of trails. We've had a lot of guys out busy and putting up some painted signs, and some new signs, and making sure everything's safe for everybody to ride on."

McIvor says there's not enough to ride on yet, but it does form a good base. He explains cold weather would help a lot right now, seeing as the current conditions will make things a little messy. He adds it's not unusual to see riding wait until December, and they expect another good season.
