The RM of Armstrong will be replacing a tank in one of its trucks at the Fraserwood Fire Department.

At its meeting Tuesday, Armstrong council approved the purchase and Reeve Jack Cruise says it's a necessary project.

"One of our tanker trucks had developed leaks to the point where it had been patched a number of times," says Cruise, noting the vehicle is over 20-years-old. "It had just been repaired so many times it was getting to the point to take the tank off and get a new one."

Cruise adds the estimated cost of the job is $40,000. "That includes the new tank installed on our existing truck," he says.
