The mayor of Arborg is looking forward to seeing two new pedestrian bridges installed next year.  Randy Sigurdson says they've hired a local company to build the bridges this coming winter, noting they hope to have the structures in place over the river by spring.  Sigurdson says the town was fortunate enough to obtain a few grants to help out with the cost of the project, which amounts to approximately sixty thousand dollars for both bridges.  He notes it's always good to have improvements in town, adding safety is also important so these bridges are going to be much sturdier than the old ones.
