Pic-a-Pop's stepped up to help out injured Portage Terrier Braden Pettinger.

Owner Peter de Jong says the Pettinger family was thrilled when they called offering the support. He explains how they'll be raising the funds.

"Every bottle sold from June 20th till the next 6 months, 2 cents of that sale from Pic-a-Pop product anywhere in Manitoba like a hockey arena, or a grocery store, or resorts go to the Braden Pettinger Family Fund."

He explains how this came about.

"This young fellow, he got injured and the insurance doesn't cover everything. They have to update his house, and it's all these costs for the family, and they have to travel. So we contacted the Pettinger family and they were very ecstatic that we as a Manitoba company really want to support him, and that's how the ball got rolling."

De Jong says they usually raise between 3 and 4 thousand dollars when raising money this way.
