The Oakville skating rink has sent a funding request to the RM of Portage council. Reeve Kam Blight says the rink is apparently having some problems with their Zamboni and they're looking for some help purchasing a refurbished machine. Blight notes the RM council has tabled the issue for now, adding they will need a bit more information before they make any decisions. He says they don't know if the current Zamboni is completely inoperable, so council will first need to determine the severity and urgency of this matter.
