It was another successful Camp Day for Tim Hortons in Portage la Prairie.

Stephanie Arnott is General Manager of both stores, and explains the funds raised all go toward helping kids in our community.

"Funds stay locally, meaning we send local kids, we don't send them to local camps. Part of the camp day experience is getting to ride on a plane, so nobody goes to camp in Manitoba. They go to Ontario or BC."

Arnott says she's seen first hand how it can affect a child growing up.

"It's really great, because we actually have someone working for us that was part of the Camp Day program when she was younger. So it's really good to see -- like first hand --how it impacts people. People love the t-shirts and the bracelets, and all the specialness of this. It's not an everyday thing, so that's nice."

She adds they sold over 1000 bracelets in Portage la Prairie alone before 5 p.m., and she's thankful for everyone's support.
