The first ever Canoehead Trivia Tournament geared especially toward teens aged 13 to 17 is taking place tomorrow afternoon at the Portage Regional Library beginning at 2:00 pm. Program Coordinator Lori Mackadenski says the title comes from the canoe concept in the word 'portage' from Portage la Prairie.

"It's going to be lots of fun. There are going to be lots of prizes which are a secret right now. (I like to keep everyone in suspense.) It is the first time we have ever done a Canoehead Trivia Tournament. I think it's going to be lots of fun. If anyone out there really likes trivia, and thinks they can beat the trivia geeks, then come on down."

She outlines the categories.

"Youtube section; we'll have probably something about Netflix; and special things about Young Adult literature because we still are a library; sports, and movies -- the usual."

The tournament starts at 2:00 p.m. and runs until 4:00. A team of four participants can enter, and individuals can be placed in a team.
