The president of the Gladstone Chamber of Commerce has a few wishes for the new year. Nick Beavington says they would always like to see another business or two start up in the community, noting they've already had a very strong year in housing construction. Beavington says if you want to go camping in Williams Park this summer it's a good idea to book ahead because they're expecting a busy season. He notes the campground is very clean and tidy and the couple who look after the place do a terrific job, adding this is exactly the type of stuff which helps promote Gladstone and gets the economy working. Beavington says things like the Happy Rock, the baseball games each summer, and the campground keep bringing people into the community and help drive business for local retailers and merchants.
