Tomorrow afternoon's set for the Jedi Academy at the Portage Regional Library. Library programs coordinator Lori Mackadenski explains what's happening.

"The Star Wars Jedi Academy is taking place on Friday April the 8th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Children need to register for it. It's for children ages 5 to 12. And we are doing that because I thought it would be a really fun way to lead into the movie that we're showing that evening: Star Wars 7, the Force Awakens."

Mackadenski says they're having a variety of activities.

"We're going to be doing all sorts of fun Star Wars themed activities to get the young padawans ready for the Force Awakens. We'll be doing some Star Wars inspired crafts, games, and have some snacks; because after a couple of hours of Jedi training you tend to get a little hungry. There will be light sabres involved. They are provided. All the padawans can take that light sabre home with them."
