The RM of Grahamdale's getting a better handle on their gravel needs for the upcoming months. Reeve Clifford Halaburda says council met this week to deal with the situation.

Clifford Halaburda "We get our gravel material from different contractors. We deal with contracts. We have two different contractors. The real story is, with the high cost of everything, there is always changes in prices of material. In some places, we need more material, some less. This all came up in our meeting yesterday to find out exactly if we're staying within our budget."

He says budgets should always be maintained.

"Its very important for any municipality if you work within your budget -- it makes it so much easier in the year end. I guess within the next week or until our next meeting within the next two weeks our office will get all the figures together for our next meeting. And we'll know exactly what this is all about. But I think we should be right on target. And everybody should be satisfied. But you don't know what's going to happen with the weather. The change of weather, or need for more material, may cause us to purchase more material. But it's something we have to watch for, and hopefully, things will work out well for us"
