Stonewall RCMP are investigating the second fatal collision in as many days. Police have reported a second incident occurred earlier today, on Highway 67 about 5 kilometres west of Stonewall. Police were called to the scene of the single vehicle collision at approximately 11:30. Early investigation revealed the driver of an eastbound Ford Explorer lost control, entered the south ditch, struck an approach, and rolled. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 66 year-old woman, was pronounced deceased.

The first fatal incident took place yesterday afternoon, on Highway 7, just three kilometres north of Highway 67. Stonewall RCMP say it appears a northbound pick-up truck veered into the southbound lane, and collided head-on with a semi-trailer. The woman driving the pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene. The male passenger suffered unknown injuries, and was taken to hospital.

Investigations are underway into both incidents, and police don't believe alcohol was a factor in either.
