It's Easter Sunday, which is significant for Christians around the world. For Portage la Prairie's Heritage Book & Gift Shoppe, Easter's also a busy time. Owner Laura Falk outlines what her customers are looking for at this time of year.

"They're always wanting buy product to give to their grand-kids and kids, so they're always looking books like that, and resources to give, to remember what the season is all about. We're a book store that sells mostly books. We do music (as well), so they're always picking up some nice music, and things like that."

Falk feels the Easter celebration hasn't changed over the centuries, except it's become richer and deeper as we move through the 21st century.

"I think, as the world's changing, and the world is getting harder, and there are more painful things happening all over the world, we start to realize we need a place of hope. And that's in the person of Christ. Jesus bled on the Cross for us, but he's not the only one that should bleed. We should be bleeding, too. We should be bleeding for a world that's hurting, and they need our encouragement. And in this book store, that's what we try to do. We try to be an encouragement to people -- people that are hurting."
