The President of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce was impressed with the political leaders that participated in the chamber's forum on Thursday.

“We wanted to get the leaders out to talk about business, Western Manitoba and the economy of the province” said Jordan Ludwig.

The chamber used the event to get the leaders to talk about balancing the budget, priorities for rural Manitoba and doing more to recognize the importance of Brandon as a growing regional centre.

“The leaders maybe didn't have a lot of new things to say but it was nice to have them in Brandon and getting them on the record with what they plan to do for the region.”

About 450 people attended the forum.
