One of Club Snow's oldest warm up shelters could look a little different next season.

President Ken Penman explains the details.

"We're looking at the Flee Island Shelter up at High Bluff, to see whether we need to reconstruct it inside, or tear it down and build a new one. We're just not quite there yet to figure out which way we're going to go. Last year we built the one at Rosendale, the year before that we built the one at Lakeland. Maybe the Club will look at building this new one, which again has a cost factor anywhere from 6 to 9 thousand dollars."

Penman explains it's an old shelter, and it's time for an upgrade.

"That is one of the original shelters that Club Snow built, and I think that's 25 or 30 years ago, and it's made out of old Ski-Doo crates. So it's been there a long time, it's served its purpose, and we're just trying to figure out if we need to redo it somehow, or whether we take it down and build a new one."

He adds they haven't gotten out to inspect the shelter yet this spring.
