Club Snow will be hosting it's annual landowners banquet this evening. Club Snow President Ken Penman explains the event is in place to thank landowners that allow snowmobile trails to be made on their land.

"We have our landowners banquet which is a banquet we have on a yearly basis. We try to bring as many of our landowners as we can into a banquet at the legion this year. It's to show appreciation for them letting us go on their land."

Penman explains showing landowners their appreciation can make trail planning easier.

"We have to have permission from every land owner in writing to go across their land. Most of them are farmers. We have some issues this year. We ran into an issue out south and we may have to do some reconstruction of a trail out there. That's a number of things we have to do over the summer and it keeps us busy."

The Landowners Banquet begins at 5 PM tonight at the Portage Legion with dinner begining at 6:30 PM. The event is open to all landowners and Club Snow members.
