Get down to the Portage and District Arts Centre to have a look at some of the items in their Celebration of the Arts Gala Fundraising Dinner and Auction.

PDAC's Marketing and Events Coordinator Lee Beaton gives a brief description of some of the items on display.

"It's such an incredible assortment of pieces. We have photography, we have oil paintings, we have acrylic. We have stained glass, fabric art, and of course there's wood turning, and wood carving, and ceramics as well. It's just an incredible assortment of artwork, and I think it looks great in here."

Beaton says auction night can be a pretty intimidating night, and this gives you a chance to be ready.

"When we have our Celebration of the Arts evening, it's pretty fast paced. So this gives people a chance to come in and take a bit of time, and look at the artwork to really decide, 'do I have a spot for that' or 'it looks so different here, than when we have it set up in the Glesby' every piece depending on the lighting looks so amazing, and so different. It gives you a chance to come in, preview it, and decide."

She encourages everyone to stop in and see the work. The gala is set for May 12th.
