The Mayor of Neepawa says he's ready to see what's in store for the province following the results of the April 19th provincial election. Adrian de Groot says he's looking forward to seeing the different approach that the Progressive Conservative Party brings to government.

"We're looking forward to seeing how it unfolds, and also participating in ensuring that the provincial government is accountable to the constituents of the province. There's a number of things that the province has kind of stagnated on and I'm really keen on seeing the different approach."

He says he's excited to see a change.

"Certainly, as a mayor of a community, we have our own constituents and we need to ensure that they're represented in the legislature. We have a number of issues that we need to talk about with the province, but we've established a lot of good rapport and I'm excited with the change and the freshness in the province."

De Groot says he was pleased to see PC member Eileen Clarke win the Agassiz riding because he knows she'll do a great job representing the region.
