The Portage Terriers will put their 7 game winning streak on the line tonight as they visit the Winkler Flyers for the first time of the season at 7:30.

Winkler is 4-2 in October and is coming off a pair of wins this weekend against Neepawa and Selkirk. Portage was 4-2 last season against The Flyers. Winkler is lead by Scott Gall who has 16 points in 10 games. Terrier Assistant Coach Paul Harland knows to watch out for their veterans.

"I think they probably have the most guys (in the league) back from last year so we are expecting that they will have a lot of offensive punch."

Portager Brody Moffat has played 5 games so far for the Flyers but has yet to register a point. Cole Weaver has been getting the bulk of the work in net going 4-1 posting a 1.80 GAA and .932 save percentage.

Jeremey Leipsic has been on fire for Portage this year with 20 points in 10 games. His linemates Chase Brakel (16pts) and Ty Enns (13pts) are right with him near the top of the team in scoring. Brock Aiken has had most of the starts going 7-1 with a 2.95 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

The Terrier power play has dropped to 3rd in the league with 24% and their penalty kill has stayed in 2nd at 90%. The Flyers are right behind Portage with a 19% power play and a little lower down in 7th with an 81% penalty kill.

The game will be broadcast on CFRY and Portageonline.com starting with the pregame show at 7:20pm.
