Snow Angel: Sandy Blight

Why They're a Snow Angel: This December we had two large storms leaving more snow than just a shovel could clear. My husband Kelly works for Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation and can get called away at a moments notice for work, and also remain working overtime as needed. I have been at work during these storms to come home and find our driveway cleaned out by my neighbour Sandy Blight. This was greatly appreciated and I even offered him money for his kind deed, which he declined. So we, Kelly and Pat Knowles would like to nominate our neighbour (and his daughter) as our Snow Angels.

Snow Angel: Sandra Brown

Why They're a Snow Angel: She is a wonderful woman. She, along with her husband, have an alpaca farm, just outside of town. Their dog was hit, by a train, just before Christmas. He survived and is now slowly walking. But it took a lot of sleepless nights, medical visits (vet, chiropractor) and love to get Boo moving again. She works part time at a store and full time on the farm. Her husband works away and is home 7 days out of 21. Without her love and committment to Boo, I don't think he would have made it through this ordea. For this, I think that Sandra is a snow angel. (among so many other reasons)

Snow Angel: Bob

Why They're a Snow Angel: After clearing my drive way the night before I was up early one morning in early December, shoveling. Bob stopped as he was driving by, and helped with his shovel. He then went for his snow blower because of the magnitude of the task. I have been away from home very often in the past 6 wks and my driveway is kept clear by Bob without my seeing him. I turn up and I realise not only my drive way, but my retired neighbour's drive way is cleared by him. He is a wonderful neighbour who is out early each morning as if he is just looking for some one to offer his help to. He is my snow angel. Thanks Bob.

Snow Angel: Rod Kazuk

Why They're a Snow Angel: Rod cleans the snow and sweeps the sidewalks everyday in our area. He has helped push vehicles that don't run. He saw that an apartment had a fire in it and tried to battle the fire himself until the fire department could get to the scene, this act did save the house and there were no injuries. He is a kind and caring individual and does not ask for anything in return.
