With the NHL season done for every Canadian team the only thing that was left to hope for was a good draft pick, and for the Leafs and Jets that's exactly what they got.  Both will pick 1st and 2nd respectively with the Blue Jackets rounding out the top 3.

The last time the Toronto Maple Leafs had the top pick in the NHL Draft was 1985 which they used to selectWendel Clark from the Saskatoon Blades.  As for the upcoming season it's highly likely they'll choose the very impressive Austin Matthews, from Scottsdale, Arizona who played this past season in Switzerland scoring 22 goals and 46 points in 36 games.
