Another former Portage Terrier has committed to a post-secondary school while pursuing hockey. However, he's not from the group you might be expecting.

Brock MacDonald committed to Elmira College today, after splitting this past season between the Colorado Grit and Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League.

He played half of the previous season with the Portage Terriers, where he played 27 games, putting up 18 points in the regular season. Following the regular season, Brock scored 9 points in a combined 18 games between the playoffs and the Centennial Cup.

MacDonald is known as a physical presence who can intimidate the opposing team, while also having very good hands in the offensive zone.

He joins and Elmira team that went 20-8-1 this season.
